We differ from the Wikipedia-style editing by this rule: We can edit the text someone else wrote by contributing to the same meaning. • Welcome note is an informal introduction. Parts will be used as a non-authored foreword to the joint publication. The contained text will be used for the Call for Abstracts for the next conference October 3-6, 2010. Finally, this text will be an embryo for a joint publication to be submitted to Sci Am or similar. Please edit this article if and only if you intend to take active part in the mentioned developments.

• Prospectus federates our articles and our ideas and plans about knowledge federation. The key task is to profile knowledge federation and invite other researchers to join us.

Currently our community website is a simple Mediawiki. This wiki will now be used to bootstrap the development of the real thing. What functionality do we need? What platform should serve as the hub? Let us federate an answer to those questions.
